10 Movie Websites research.

Jumanji:

Within the Jumanji official website there are a variety of different features that stand out. The first of which is when you actually load the website up, the website loads in a game format as there is a loading bar going up from 0% until its 100, which of course indicates the welcoming to the website. As well as the load up screen loading similar to a game, the website also offers you the chance to play a game called "Rhino Run", as well a Meet the Avatars option which allows you to get information about each character.

On the front page, there are different examples of moving image/animation as the title Jumanji is moving back and forth, and the water moves in the background along with the characters.

The animation is something i would definitely take into my own website, as i feel it'll give it quality, and it will be easy on the eye as viewers are welcomed onto the page.

Fantastic Beasts:

On the Fantastic Beasts website, the title logo is different to Jumanji's website as it is a still image, and there is no type of animation at all once you get onto the homepage. However whilst loading the website a video of the cast appears which is there to entice the viewers to venture into their website more. The front page gives you a date, which informs you on when the next film is released, as well promoting the film by putting it right in the centre of the screen and easy to see.
Unlike the previous film, there isn't much i would like to include in my website, but the photography and overall look to the page is well put together and it is something i can take inspiration from.

The Greatest Showman:

The website is very straight forward to the past two, because the website doesn't have any kind of loading screen, once you click on the link you are taken straight into the website.

Like Fantastic Beasts the logo/title is just a single image, with a picture in the background.

The website also gives you links to take you to their social media's.

The options for other parts of the  website are set on the top of the page.

like the previous film, the only thing i would take from this is the use of photography, as well as the overall layout.

Deadpool:
The dipole website loads up by making you add your DOB in.
Like the previous film the website gives you the opportunity to view their social media, for example Youtube, Facebook and Twitter. This is  something i can add to the website we create for my own film
The websites homepage shows you a cartoon image of deadpool
The website allows you to view videos and posters  as well as offering you the chance to view related movies.
Darkest Hour:
The darkest hour allows for you to change the language of the website in the top left corner, as well as giving you the option to choose various things within the website.
At the bottom of the website it tells you to allow cookies, which is the website taking additional information from your computer.
The website gives you the option to buy tickets, which is only an option on very few websites.
The website also has various clips from the show on the homepage being repeated for the entertainment of the viewer. and this will be essential to my website as it will allow me to use the same concept and showcase my own film.

Early Man:
The website loads in a very different way, the picture on the screen is slowly attended by an animation that comes from the bottom of the screen, and then jumps to the homepage.
The website also gives you various different options such as:
  • Play games
  • Get tickets
  • View the characters
  • View videos
The website also has videos playing in the background, and the font for the website is very unique and different because of the type of movie it is.

Dunkirk;

Dunkirk the website also loads differently as it has a blue bar going across the screen until it reaches 100%.

The website allows you to play a game, of which you can use VR (Virtual Reality) and they also advise you to use a specific web browser.

The website gives you different options, for example a link to the soundtrack, a link to order the film and again links to their social media's.
